22. The Dark Marauder

You’ve taken her captive
She was my eternal youth
My innocence and everything
You, the dark marauder,
Have taken my one true love

You’ve stolen her
In a time of confusion
When I wasn’t aware
I, in a hazy grey
And her, not by my side

My light has now turned to black
For without her in my world
I am surrounded by darkness
No more light, no more radiance
No more morning to destroy the night

You’ve taken her far from me
Tortured her, made her let go
Turning her against my world
The world we once had shared
And molding her into yours

You’ve stolen her heart from me
And forced it to forget our love
Her face is but a memory fading fast
Aided by the rage I now feel inside
Toward the loss of my everything
